Private photo cleanup. Nothing uploaded.

Privacy Policy ยท Effective 16 August 2026

What ClearRoll accesses

With your permission, ClearRoll accesses photos and videos stored on your Android device so it can find exact duplicates, possible similar photos, screenshots, large videos, and possible blurry photos. This access is necessary for the app's core photo-cleaning features.

Data collection and sharing

ClearRoll does not collect, upload, sell, rent, or share your photos, videos, filenames, scan results, or personal information. ClearRoll has no user accounts, cloud storage, analytics service, advertising service, or PJM Apps server. The app does not request internet access.

Data stored on your device

ClearRoll stores small amounts of app data locally, including your selected large-video threshold and cached scan results. This information remains on your device and can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Moving media to Trash

ClearRoll never removes media automatically. You choose each item, review your selection, and Android displays its own confirmation before moving anything to the system Trash or Recycle Bin. Your device's gallery or file manager controls how long trashed media is retained and whether it can be restored.

Permissions

ClearRoll requests broad photo and video access because reviewing and cleaning the user's whole media library is its primary purpose. Android controls permission grants. You can change ClearRoll's access at any time in Android Settings.

Children

ClearRoll is a general utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, PJM Apps will update the effective date and publish the revised policy before the affected app version is released.
